The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards are an amendment to the Mental Capacity Act (2005). These bite sized sessions aim to provide a basic understanding of Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and Judicial DoL, and how they apply in practice – including what constitutes Deprivation of Liberty, who is responsible for making decisions, and case examples will be used to aid learning.

These sessions are being hosted by Adult Social Care colleagues, Sarah Beeks and Joanne Page.

The virtual sessions are open to all multi agency staff across both childrens and adults service areas. Staff only need to attend one session.
