Culturally Competent Practice
This one day virtual course is being provided by The Anster Group.
Audience:
All staff in Adults and Children’s Services who engage in work with vulnerable children, young people, and adults and the elderly
Objectives:
- Understand and improve practitioners cross-cultural skills
- Knowledge of different/general worldviews and cultural practices
- Ability to communicate with, understand and effectively interact with people with different cultures
- An understanding of what diversity and ethnicity is and how it relates to social care
- Practical tools to assist practitioners when speaking with families, children and young people.
